History

Built in 1970 and owned by an Australian family, Gizo Hotel is the King Solomon Hotel’s laid-back sister resort, offering the same friendly, service-orientated charm. It first underwent renovations in 1994 and again in 2015, resulting in the refurbishment of rooms and facilities.

Activities

From the land to the sea, there are many activities to keep you occupied while you’re in the West. You can travel along a winding coral road that runs around the edge of the entire island, meandering between traditional thatched villages and picturesque beaches.

Gizo Town

Gizo Town is a quaint little town with a waterfront dock that is adjacent to the markets as you arrive into the Western Province. This makes it the central meeting place in Gizo town. Gizo is situated beside the island’s only seaport and is only a 5-minute boat ride away from Solomon Airlines’ domestic airport.
